Large Animals Camp at Martikyathanahalli, Jaypora Hobli, Mysuru

ROTA (Reaching Out To Animals), in association with PFA Mysore conducted a free large animal camp in Martikyathanahalli, Jaypora Hobli, Mysuru. on December 24, 2022. The camp began early at 7 am and concluded at 10 am. Rota & PFA have conducted several such camps since its inception every six months. We treated 360 animals in the camp including 185 cows, 78 sheep, 90 goats, and 7 dogs. De-worming medication, wound healing sprays and ointments, anti-diarrhea medicines and multivitamin supplements were distributed free of cost.

Dogs were given anti-rabies vaccines, and cows were given mineral supplements. Liquid de-worming medicine was provided to the sheep and goats, apart from wound-healing ointments and sprays. About 183 local people came with their animals, thus making it a very successful camp! We owe gratitude to Dr. Amardeep, Dr. Leela, Para vets Shiva, Gopal, Murthy, trustee Savitha Nagabhushan & Volunteers from SDM college who were all present at the camp.

Going forward, ROTA and PFA are planning to move forward together to scale up these kinds of camps. They are committed to bringing more animals and people into their fold, by enhancing these camps in the years to come.
